A doctoral research fellow at the Center for Communication and Society Studies (CECS). She is currently working on a dissertation using the Critical Discourse Analysis methodology on the populist discourse of the radical right party – Chega – and the media discursiveness of its coverage, as part of her PhD in Communication and Activisms. She has a master’s degree in Political Science, a postgraduate degree in International Relations and Political and Economic Diplomacy and a degree in Communication Sciences. As part of her PhD, she is working at the Center for Research in Applied Communication, Culture and New Technologies (CICANT). Her research interests focus on populism, social analysis of the media and social communication, and hate speech.
